Inspired by her grandmother’s work as a seamstress, Elena Pintor Fernandez developed a passion for fashion from a young age, yet, due to financial restrictions and unsustainable low-wage opportunities, she went on to work in finance for nearly ten years.

During that time, Pintor Fernandez refocused her career towards her original passion: fashion. Thanks to an interest in marketing — developed throughout her business studies —, Pintor Fernandez was able to transition into fashion and luxury, while taking on various courses to expand her knowledge and skills in that vein. 

These experiences, from her untraditional background to working as director of global CRM development at Swarovski, taught our industry expert the importance of taking your time while working towards achieving your dreams. She advises not to put “so much pressure on yourself to get something done in a certain time frame. You have a very long life ahead of you, so you better enjoy it.”
